Many of the submitted artworks are shared online, through our website, social media and in awareness materials. (By entering, you grant Frogs Are Green permission to use your artwork. Credit to artists will be included.)
This year, the 1st place winners in each age group will receive these prizes (so far!): The custom designed “Frogs Are Green” Strawesome glass straw; their winning artwork on a t-shirt provided by Big Frog Custom Shirts; and Frogs Are Green‘s newest books.
This years theme is… Amphibians & Reptiles!
Yes, children can draw any amphibian or reptile! Turtles, salamanders, frogs, snakes, lizards, and more! They can also draw rainforests, ponds, wildlife in trees or water, or how they feel about climate change, pollution, deforestation, drought, natural habitats, etc… and how you (or all of us) can help the environment. Here are a few links to provide much need information and photos for reference:

To enter the contest, you join the kids art contest group (and the right age group) on Flickr and just upload your entries. Each child can submit up to 3 artworks. Teachers can upload student’s work and parents can upload their children’s work. If you are in a country where you cannot view Flickr, you can email your digital image to Frogs Are Green along with the child’s name, age and country, and we will add the image to the group. If you wish to see all the images in the gallery, you must join Flickr.
Each entry MUST INCLUDE the Child’s Name, Age, and Country (and a caption if you like) or your submission cannot be judged. If entering the student/elder collaboration we’ll need the Elder person’s name and age also. Be sure your entry is facing the right direction! You can easily turn an artwork once on Flickr.
PLEASE DO NOT MAIL US PACKAGES! We do not have the time to photograph and upload every image, nor can we send them back.
Enter your art in the categories listed below (takes you to Flickr).

He has lived in New York and Virginia and is currently residing in Jersey City, NJ. His sculptures are mostly composed on scrap and discarded metal.
Although metal sculpture is Mr. China’s main medium he also has experience with collage, handmade paper, tie-dying, paper mache, pottery and textiles.
Artist Statement:
My work gives new life and meaning to of scrap and discarded metal. I attempt to use the objects in a way so that they are not readily recognizable by the viewer. Although the pieces have been transformed, they still carry the memory of their former function – while their meaning has been multiplied.

Sam has been a Liberty State Park (LSP) advocate since the 1992 passing of his father, Morris Pesin, LSP’s “father”, who envisioned and led the 19-year campaign to transform a waterfront wasteland into a green park and fought battles to protect it. Sam, as Friends of LSP president, has co-led grassroots battles with the NY/NJ Baykeeper – in fighting for a non-privatized People’s Park behind Lady Liberty.
