Susan Newman is an award winning brand visibility designer, web specialist and environmentalist. Susan is celebrating 22 years in business and has received awards from organizations and publications including the Art Directors Club of New York, Desi, Graphis, the Print Regional Design Annual, The Society of Illustrators, and Graphic Design USA for both graphic and website design. Her work is represented in the permanent collection of the Library of Congress.
She is the CEO and founder of Susan Newman Design, Inc and Frogs Are Green, Inc. Susan is the host of Suzy Brandtastic (podcast series) and believes that branding and consistency are the keys to a thriving business and gaining a following.
Susan is the author and book designer of Frogs, Amphibians and Their Threatened Environment – Discovery and Expression Through Art – K-3, the designer and co-author of “Rainforest Frogs” and editor of the “Frog Art” coloring book series published by My Fat Fox in the UK.
Susan teaches environmental education with art at the Little Bee Learning Studio (ages 3-6) and is a part-time teacher at the Wallace Elementary school, both in Hoboken, NJ.
Susan is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts (communication arts), The New School (web design), and NJ Learns (sustainability).
When Susan is not out there spreading awareness about why we should save frogs and amphibians, she’s branding, broadcasting and supporting other creative entrepreneurs and organizations.
Susan has donated her design work to various organizations including Save The Frogs, Parc Mitsinjo, ACSAM (A Conservation Strategy for the Amphibians of Madagascar), the Hoboken 9/11 Memorial Committee, Jubilee Center Hoboken for Children, The Central Avenue Special Improvement District, www.jcheights.com, Actors Shakespeare Company www.ascnj.org, Hudson Theatre Ensemble, www.hudsontheatreensemble.com.
